Amanda Seyfried’s doppelgänger is sending the internet into meltdown and honestly, we don’t know what’s real anymore

Who knew that 2021 was destined to be the year of the celebrity doppelgänger? And that TikTok would be their preferred stomping ground? First there was Jennifer Aniston’s eerily similar doppelganger, and now we have another one. This time it’s Amanda Seyfried who seemingly has a long-lost twin. And seriously, we can barely tell the difference.

Known only as Rou, the TikTok creator mimicks facial expressions in iconic shots of Amanda – one even being her pulling her ‘dim’ face in Mean Girls. Turning her head left, right and centre, at all angles she seems to look the spit of Amanda and it’s both cool yet low-key alarming.

In the video caption she shares that she gets compared to the actress “every day”, and so decided to show TikTok after a fan left a comment saying “you look just like her wow”.

One viewer commented, “It’s actually the same person, don’t try to convince me otherwise,” while another agreed saying, “You look more like Amanda Seyfried than she does.”

Another comment also likened the doppelganger to Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin, known for her roles in H₂O: Just Add Water and The Vampire Diaries. We can totally see that too.

Our favourite comment had to be, “Do you also have three fathers and an iconic mother?” in reference to Amanda Seyfried’s legendary performance as Sophie in Mamma Mia: The Movie. We’d even go as far to say this comment was *fetch* (sorry, we had to).

Show this to any of your friends that loves Mean Girls or Mamma Mia (so basically all your friends) and they’ll be shocked by the likeness too. Here’s hoping TikTok brings us more weird and wonderful celebrity lookalike videos to watch on repeat because yes, we know you watched Amanda Seyfried’s twin more than once.
