F9: Universal Announces Free Fan Event In Los Angeles This Thursday

Universal Pictures has announced a free F9 fan event happening in Los Angeles this upcoming Thursday. The ninth installment in the incredibly popular Fast and Furious franchise, the film will see the return of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Justin Lin, who directed four previous Fast & Furious films, has also returned for F9 as the film’s co-writer and director. The movie will add a few fresh faces to the franchise as well, including John Cena as Jakob Toretto, Cardi B as Leysa, and Michael Rooker as Buddy.

Universal Pictures has just announced that they will be hosting a fan event at Los Angeles’ AMC CityWalk on Thursday, June 17. Universal is offering fans who attend the event the chance to see the movie before anyone else. The event is free of charge and tickets will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Fans can begin to line up for the event at 5:30 p.m. The actual event will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the F9 movie screening will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be claimed here at the Universal Screenings site. F9’s story will follow Vin Diesel’s Dom as he gets dragged back into the chaotic and dangerous lifestyle he once lived from the tranquil new life he had been enjoying with his son and wife, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), when his long-lost brother, Jakob (John Cena) returns. The upcoming F9 event is a rare chance for Fast and Furious lovers to not only see the film for free, but also before its actual release date.
