Intense ‘The Boy Behind the Door’ Trailer Traps Two Friends in a House of Horror [Video]

For those who don’t want to shell out the $100+ for Scream Factory’s franchise collection Blu-ray set, Paramount is offering up their own Friday the 13th collection this summer.

Announced last month, the set includes only the first 8 films in the franchise, and though there’s nothing new to see here, it does come with the remastered versions of the first four.

Friday the 13th: 8-Movie Collection will release August 10, and ahead of the release the collection has been marked down to $59.99 on Amazon. It was originally going for $79.99.

The cover art has also been slightly modified, now playing up the remastered versions of the first four films. Those new versions were included with the Scream Factory set as well, but the idea here is to give you as many of the films in the franchise as possible on Blu-ray for as cheap as you can possibly get them. You can pre-order the new set over on Amazon today.

“Get ready for the only Friday the 13th of the year with this collection, which includes newly remastered versions of the first four films in one of the most influential and successful horror franchises in cinematic history. This must-have set for fans of heart-stopping horror is gushing over with hours of previously released special features including slashed scenes, making of featurettes, killer commentaries and much, much more. The set also includes access to digital copies of all eight movies, including the “uncut” edition of the original.”

“Return to the terror of Camp Crystal Lake and re-experience all the screams, scares, and creative kills. From the too-often ignored warnings of Camp Crustal Lake’s “death curse,” through an ever-increasing body-count that culminates on the streets of New York City, the hockey-masked mayhem is unleashed and unstoppable.”

The eight films in the collection areFriday The 13th, Friday The 13th Part 2, Friday The 13th Part 3, Friday The 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter, Friday The 13th Part V: A New Beginning, Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood, and Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.

Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, Freddy vs. Jason and Friday the 13th (2009) are not included.
