This wedding guest dress from Reformation has been wishlisted over 10,000 times recently, and you NEED it for summer

So you’ve got enough wedding invites to sink a ship, but nothing to wear? We feel you. If you love the ease of a summer dress but need something a little more up-tempo for the special occasion, then you’re in good hands.

The thing about summer weddings is that you don’t want to wear anything too covering in case, ya know, you get inevitable sweat patches in the sweltering heat. On the same note, though, you also don’t want to wear anything too revealing as it’s a wedding and you want to look elegant – we get you, the struggle is real.

It was unsurprising, then, to discover that Reformation’s Ingrid dress is apparently the sought after wedding guest ensemble of the moment, with over 10,000 people adding it to their wishlists over the past couple of months according to LYST. That’s enough to make us *add to basket* immediately! It’s exactly what you’re bound to be looking for: floaty yet flattering, sleeveless but classy.

The Ingrid dress is one of those pieces that, when styled with different designer heels or worn with a different hair style, can be worn over and over again and no one (including your pals) will recognise it – making it perfect for the mountain of invitations that are piling up on your sofa. According to LYST, the two colours everyone’s after is emerald and celadon – and, after seeing them, we’re not shocked as to why.

Often seen across our Instagram feeds and lending a pop of colour against a sea of much-loved neutral tones this time of year, it’s safe to say that we’re in love with Ingrid. With a slim-fitting bodice and removable straps (see we told you it was multi-wear appropriate), it gives you a pretty good balance of comfort and shape while the floor-sweeping skirt lends a sense of drama.

You might well ugly cry as the bride meets her groom at the end of the aisle, but at least you’ll be wearing a stunning dress.
