The Friends reunion is almost here! This is where you’ll be able to watch it in the UK

In the good news we needed this Monday morning, the Friends reunion is almost upon us! When the news was *finally* confirmed back in February, we all collectively rejoiced and have been awaiting further news with baited breath.

Last week, we had almost all the news – an air date, the celebs making cast cameos, and even a trailer (more on that below) – but UK fans were still wondering where they’d be able to watch the Friends reunion in the UK. But finally, the TV gods have bestowed an answer upon us.

Here’s what you need to know…

When is the Friends reunion out and where can I watch it in the UK?

The hotly-anticipated reunion was set to air last year but was pushed back multiple times to the pandemic-related delays.

Now it has been revealed that the episode will drop on 27th May in both the US and the UK. It will go out at 8pm on both Sky and NOW TV, it was revealed on Friday, but can be streamed on demand from 8am. So if we’re late for work this Thursday, you know why. No apologies.

Who will star in the Friends reunion and what will it be about?

Thankfully, the OG cast Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer will all be returning. Phew! The reunion will be executive produced by Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, as well as original Friends producer Kevin Bright.

And the list of celeb cameos is seriously impressive (deep breath): David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Tom Selleck, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai. Yep, told you it was impressive.

The reunion won’t be a new episode of the beloved show, but more of a behind-the-scenes trip down memory lane.

HBO Max explained in a statement, “Lastly, in order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters.”

The Friends reunion will air on HBO Max in the US, and Sky and NOW in the UK on 27th May. In the meantime, you can watch the nostalgic trailer below and get seriously excited…
