Alright, hands up who *hasn’t* at some point longed for fuller, juicier lips than the ones we were blessed with?
If you tend to turn to lip liner to help give you some extra va-va-voom and a flawlessly defined pout, you’ll probably be countless tackling blunt pencils and the usual rubbed-off-by-lunchtime effect pretty regularly. Some of you might even go a step further and turn to lip tattooing or even lip fillers, both invasive and often costly cosmetic treatment that requires careful consideration not to mention proper research into who might be doing it and the risks involved.
However, it looks as if the latest TikTok makeup hack has come to the rescue for those wanting the effect of fuller lips without having to resort to drastic action or constant lip liner re-application. Seriously, is there anything this platform can’t teach us?
TikTok user @gwmakeup shared a video with the caption “Fake tanning my lips so you don’t have to.” In the video she pours St.Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse into a bowl and stirs with a lip liner brush, before painting the outline of her lips with the product.
While she doesn’t reveal how long she actually left the product on for, we suspect it wasn’t the full hour (if you’re set on trying this, maybe start with no more than a few minutes!)
The final shot shows her left with perfectly-lined Kardashian-style lips. Literally, a revelation.
The video, which has over 43k likes, saw fans quickly hailing her easy hack. One wrote “This is genius” to which she replied, “It honesty is! Fuller lips instantly.”
Another wrote: “WTF! I’ve been so insecure with my lips’ natural tan line.” @gwmakeup replied: “Try it! I think you will love it.”
One user said: “Wish me luck I would mess up so bad.” The TikTok star replied, “Use a lip brush to apply it & take your time.”
