The adorable two-piece that you keep seeing all over Instagram is actually from everyone’s favourite high street brand

If you love the ease of a summer dress but want something that feels slightly less whimsical with a bit of a cooler edge, a co-ord – specifically one complete with a pair of shorts – is the thing for you.

One of the fashion world’s most underrated secret weapons, a two-piece set provides not only the styling simplicity of a summer dress but actually far *more* options. Worn separately with a variety of pared back staple basics or together for more of a statement look, their versatility renders them one of the smartest things you can add to your wardrobe.

It was unsurprising, therefore, that when Zara dropped a collection of printed, seventies-inspired pieces just a couple of weeks ago it was the co-ord with oversized florals in various shades of orange that seemed to resonate with the savviest shoppers.

Littering our Instagram feeds – and undoubtedly brightening them up against a backdrop of the classic neutral hues so loved by the style set right now – we instantly fell in love with the look.

The cropped top – bursting with splashes of burnt orange and tangerine florals – is perfect for the imminent (fingers crossed!) warmer days, with a large buckle to the front and super cute puffed sleeves adding a fun sense of drama to the silhouette.

Paired with the top is a more structured – but by no means formal – pair of high-waisted shorts featuring the same delicious print, a subtle elasticated waist to the back and flattering front darts on each leg.

Thanks to the subtle design details and super rich, vibrant – but by no means garish – print, you’d be forgiven for presuming that this set came from a super exclusive high end designer label and therefore that it costs a little more than you’re looking to spend so close to the end of the month.

Thankfully it’s not, and each piece is actually only £25.99.

But hurry, this one is going to be a quick sell out.
