There’s been rumours circulating that Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor is in a relationship with comic Pete Davidson and it seems things have got pretty serious over the last few weeks.
Davidson has recently opened up about the pair’s budding romance seemingly referring to Dynevor as his “celebrity crush.”
So, how did this unlikely celebrity pairing come about? Here’s what we know so far…
Where did Phoebe Dynevor and Pete Davidson meet?
According to Entertainment Tonight, the duo reportedly “hit it off” after meeting at a gathering in NY. An insider told the publication, “They started off as friends and quickly realised there was chemistry between [them]. The source added, “Pete and Phoebe started out casually dating but things have gotten a bit more serious recently.”
Dynevor, we know, was in New York February this year, posting a snap on Instagram with the caption, “Grateful I got to be here for a hot sec ❤️”
Might this have been where the pair hooked up?
Pete was spotted in Phoebe’s hometown
Then there was news that Pete reportedly visited Phoebe in the UK, where she recently began filming on an upcoming project.
The Saturday Night Live player was spotted in Altrincham, Greater Manchester on March 21, taking selfies with fans. The town just happens to be where Phoebe’s family live.
A local paper reported that Dynevor and Davidson were “holding hands and hugging each other” with one onlooker revealing, “It looked like they were in a relationship and they seemed happy together.”
A source tells US Weekly they’re “officially dating”
Earlier this month, a source told US Weekly, “Pete and Phoebe are still going strong despite not being able to physically spend time together.”
The insider revealed, “They keep in touch over text and FaceTime. Right now, they’re just focused on work. … They’re not looking to rush things.”
Pete opens up about his “celebrity crush” on a Zoom call
The latest installment of this love story has seen Pete *almost* confirm the speculation when he was asked if he had a celebrity crush during a Zoom call with students at Marquette University.
He replied, “I’m with my celebrity crush,” apparently laughing and awkwardly adding, “Uh…yeah…so…so…yes.”
According to E! News, the comedian said he couldn’t say anything else about this so-called crush.
Last year, the star said he was taking a break from dating, having been linked to likes of Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, and Margaret Qualley.
He told YouTuber Charlamagne tha God at the time, “I’m not dating for a while. Unless I meet the love of my life,” he said. “I’m pretty done with that, I’m going to try and stay away from that. It’s just a lot.”
