Oh no. Oh dear. Page Six is confidently reporting that their Miami sources are reporting a big split: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez of J-Rod will be J-Rod no more. If proven true, will this be the biggest breakup of the fourth quarter of the pandemic?
The couple were engaged in March 2019 and last we heard, they were “still planning on getting married.” Per Entertainment Tonight, “He is so into her and they have so much fun together. It is amazing how well they get along. She trusts him like no one else she has been with, and is in one of the best places in her career and personal life.”
Devastating. Yes, there have been rumors. And yes, it feels as though we’re on the cusp of a global rumspringa in which all the old rules are thrown out the window as the pandemic ends, we thought these two were going to make it. Look at them! Look at that exceptional couple portmanteau! They met over a nice cobb! He was so good at both being into photos with her on, say, the Met Gala red carpet and getting out of the way! Then again, they tried to buy the Mets and didn’t get it, so maybe it was one disappointment they couldn’t overcome together.
Neither have confirmed or commented yet but here is a photo of A-Rod on a boat all by himself:
