If I’m invited to perform on the Saturday Night Live Studio 8H stage (which, don’t get me wrong, I will never do) I like to think I’d try to pull a Phoebe Bridgers and smash a guitar. You know, really leave my mark after such a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Punisher singer delivered on darkness and drama during Feb. 6’s show when she concluded her “I Know the End” performance by screaming and repeatedly striking an electric guitar against an amp. There’s no room for subtlety in 2021, and if you’re going to sing an apocalyptic song, you might as well commit.
