Steve Harvey Warns Michael B. Jordan That He’s Got His Eye on Him

Steve Harvey has tentatively given his daughter Lori Harvey‘s new boyfriend Michael B. Jordan his seal of approval. But he made it very clear this week that just because he likes the actor right now doesn’t mean he won’t turn against him the moment he feels he’s wronged his daughter.

On Friday’s episode of iHeartRadio’s The Steve Harvey Morning Show, the on-air personality said of Lori’s new beau, “I like this one. I still got my eye on him. I mean I like him, but like I say to all of ’em, ‘I might like you, I might approve of you, but I got a thumb-size section of my heart filled with nothing but pure hatred for your ass. Just in case I need it.’” He continued, “Like right now? Nice guy. But I got this little section partner, where all I gotta do is click a switch and I can hate your ass.” Referring to Jordan’s current title of People‘s Sexiest Man Alive, Harvey joked, “Cause you ain’t the sexiest man in the world to me! Let’s be clear about that.”

Lori and Jordan made their relationship Instagram official last week after months of speculation from fans before jetting off to St. Barts together to celebrate Lori’s 24th birthday. A source told People that the pair “wanted to get to know each other in private. They have been careful about being photographed together,” preferring to keep their romance out of the spotlight. “In the past [Lori] quickly posted social media pictures with guys that she was dating. With Michael, she has tried a different approach.” And clearly, that approach is working as the new couple apparently “spent all the major holidays together in November and December,” and “Lori seems very happy.”
