BLOND:ISH Promises ‘Music, Self-Love & Magic’ At Third Abracadabra Virtual Festival

What better way to ring out the new year than with some good music, good vibes, and, as ABRACADABRA founder/performer BLOND:ISH tells Hollywood, some ‘transcending experiences?

“I truly believe in the saying that we are forever students of life, and as such, we need to constantly evolve,” BLOND:ISH tells HollywoodLife. The producer and DJ wants to help fans “evolve” past 2020 with the third ABRACADABRA festival. Taking place from Dec. 30 to Jan. 1, the three-day, virtual festival will raise funds for NIVA’s #SaveOurStages campaign while providing music and self-love (meditations, south baths, yoga, and more) moments for fans.

Taking place exclusively on Twitch (http://twitch.tv/abracadabratv), the third ABRACADABRA will feature headlining performances from John Legend, Kaskade, Major Lazer, Aloe Blacc, and festival co-founder herself, BLOND:ISH. There will also be performances by Apache, Jermain Dupri, Poolside, Marc Maya, Malone, Bastian Bux, and so much more.

“We want to create a global media channel, a vessel for our community to immerse in a music, self-love, magic and eco-activism experience that will give them the necessary tools to navigate life and constantly evolve,” BLOND:ISH tells HollywoodLife in an EXCLUSIVE interview. They also share what they would pick for a New Year’s Resolution, which acts deserve your attention at this ABRA fest, and one thing they’re looking to leave behind in 2020.

HollywoodLife: You’re ringing in the new year with ABRACADABRA FEST part 3. This time around, you have John Legend, Kaskade, and Major Lazer as headliners. Along with those three talents, what can fans expect with this three-day festival?

BLOND:ISH: ABRACADABRA goes beyond just your regular music festival. We want to create a global media channel, a vessel for our community to immerse in a music, self-love, magic, and eco-activism experience that will give them the necessary tools to navigate life and constantly evolve. One thing that really sets us apart is our magical self-love programming, which promises some transcending experiences, like a Secular Sabbath with Rhye & Friends, mass meditations, sound baths, yoga, conscious cooking, psychedelic breathwork & astrology forecasts. The goal is really to expand our senses beyond what is known.

Is there an act that you think viewers should specifically tune in to see?

There are many, many, many artists to tune into, but if I had to pick a few, I’d definitely say you have to check out Marc Rebillet, he’s definitely a unique character. I love Rhye, 100% Rhye & Friends – just to start the year off right. Islandman – I’ve actually never seen them live, so I’ll be tuning in for sure! LUVU – I just discovered them on Twitch two weeks ago, and they’re a really lovely bunch, with really, really unique art. Santino Le Saint, definitely someone to check out from Empire. And then, of course, Jai Dev  – self-love, self-love, non-stop self-love, and he helps you open up those tools in yourself.

BLOND:ISH, doing her thing

Do you believe in New Year’s Resolutions? If so, do you have a specific self-improvement goal for 2021?

I love any occasion that you can make a resolution, but I’m one of those people that’s like, ‘Why start tomorrow when you can start today?’ So, any chance to do a resolution, I’m in, because it’s a challenge, and I love a challenge. Self-improvement goals? Yeah – I would love to learn how to say no. It’s such a skill and mad respect for everyone who knows how to say no.

What’s one thing that you hope to never hear/see/smell/experience again in 2021? Like, what is one thing – be it abstract, physical, etc. – that you could leave behind with 2020?

The want for normalcy, coming back to normal – there’s no such thing. I truly believe in the saying that we are forever students of life, and as such, we need to constantly evolve. Leaving behind this debilitating mentality that we don’t have the power to change our reality. We can. We can create our own realities, so let’s evolve together.
