Peter!! Your new song “Under the Mistletoe” is a dreamy holiday song!! How did it come about?! Were there any challenges in the making of it that you can share with us?!
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying it as much as I enjoyed singing it. My wife wrote the song and said she drew inspiration from all of the cards I’ve written to her over the years. She keeps all of them. The whole process of recording and filming was kind of magical and had an easy flow until we got to the beach and a windstorm kicked up! That’s why I ended up wearing a hat because my hair went wild. Loden was laughing at me, as she tends to do. She was the assistant on set, so it was a fun family affair.
Who do you go to when you need advice about the music industry?
Kel has been in the music industry since she was a teenager, so she and the Blue Aeris team guide me.
When has there been a time when you had to push yourself out of your comfort zone musically?
I was not only challenged, but a bit overwhelmed when I played Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar”. A few years later, I met Carl Anderson (the original Judas) which was a huge honor. His talent always inspired me. He also happened to be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
What do you want to do next with your music?! Any projects you can talk about?!
I was singing along to my album in my truck to get in shape for the holiday recording and it gave me the bug to perform live again. I’ll keep ya posted!
Thank you for talking with us today Peter!! Let our audience know where they can keep up with you and ALL your projects?!
