Ciara basically won Halloween in 2019 with her and Russell Wilson’s epic homage to the Carters, but we have to say, she may have just topped last year’s look. On Oct. 30, Ciara shared her incredible costume on Instagram, in which she channeled a different artist: none other than Cardi B. The “Level Up” singer re-created Cardi’s Invasion of Privacy album cover to utter perfection, and even had us doing a double take.
At first glance, Ciara’s version of the cover art looks exactly the same as Cardi’s original, down to the bright yellow hair, checkered suit, and purple-y lipstick. But the mom of three took her look to the next level and made a timely statement with her nail art, which were VOTE-themed with illustrations of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Her costume was made even better by her 6-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, who was dressed as a mini Offset. In one video, Ciara and Future are seen lip-syncing to the rapper’s hit, “Ric Flair Drip,” and the mother-son pairing couldn’t be more adorable. Cardi clearly agreed, as she reposted Ciara’s video and wrote, “I’m gagging! I love it! I’m so hype! I’ve always been a huge fan of @ciara and became an even bigger fan after I met her!” Swipe through photos of Ciara and Future’s spot-on costume above, and ahead, see Cardi’s reaction to the look.
