H&M’s next epic collaboration is with The Vampire’s Wife (and it’s coming sooner than you think!)

H&M has revealed that its next designer collaboration collection will be with none other than fashion favourite The Vampire’s Wife.

No stranger to a successful designer collab, the high street stalwart has previously teamed up with powerhouses such as Stella McCartney, Balmain, Erdem, Moschino and, of course, the epic Giambattista Valli just last year. And while we were all hoping 2020 might bring us similar levels of sartorial joy, the way this year has played out so far had left us with very low expectations.

But just as we were beginning to lose all hope, today’s news has proven that regardless of whether or not our beloved Christmas parties are able go ahead this year there’s absolutely no excuse not to dress up.

That’s right… this collection is dropping much sooner than you might think.

While the brand’s previous collabs have been announced several months in advance of the launches, you have a mere twenty days (!) to get yourself (and your pursestrings) prepped for this one, as it lands in selected stores and online on October 22nd.

Founded by Susie Cave in 2014, The Vampire’s Wife has garnered an impressive and loyal fan base including the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge, Alexa Chung, Keira Knightley, Kate Moss and even style icon Villanelle of Killing Eve fame.

Bursting with gothic glamour, the collaboration collection is full of sexy lace accents, soft velvets and romantic pussy-bow detailing in signature The Vampire’s Wife style, with the fabrics having all been sustainably sourced.

The collection also boasts a jewellery offering which was designed by Cave’s husband, the musician Nick Cave, and includes charm bracelets, ear cuffs and necklaces which feature eye, cloud and vampire teeth iconography.

Speaking to British Vogue, Susie revealed: “H&M took great pains to find the very essence of what The Vampire’s Wife is about, and then realised my dreams to my exact specifications.”

“To design a dress at The Vampire’s Wife and get it through to the finish line is extremely difficult, miraculous really, as we are a small company. H&M is extraordinarily powerful in that respect.”

Excited? You’re not alone. Race you to the checkout on October 22.
