Exclusive Interview with Olivia King

Thank you for doing our interview!  Tell our readers more about how you got started and where you are located!

If we want to go wayyy back, I actually got started in church when my friend raised my hand for the solo in 3rd grade. I was petrified but ended up getting the solo and loved performing from then on! I started taking music really seriously in 2017 when I released my first single. I’m currently located in the smallest state…Rhode Island 🙂

Do you believe in Goal Setting or taking it day by day?

I believe success comes with a little of both. I’ve done vision boards in the past which are pretty cool when you see things come to fruition and I like to set monthly goals but I also believe in extreme consistency so I am working daily to keep the momentum. Sometimes goals may get discouraging so I definitely lean toward the day by day wins to keep me motivated!

What is your strategy for success?

CONSISTENCY. PERIOD. Since I started releasing original music 3 years ago, I’ve released a single per month, every month. You never know which song is going to be “the song” so you just have to remain consistent and pump music out there. I live by this and make sure my social media and Spotify/Apple Music is always cranking out the content!

Greatest achievement so far?

I would say some of my bigger accomplishments since releasing original music would be getting on Spotify’s “New Music Friday” playlist, being featured as the cover of Tidal’s “Pop Rising” Playlist and writing the jingle for Caleb McLaughlin’s (Netflix, Stranger Things) social media campaign.
