Exclusive Interview with Emily Daccarett

Great to have you here. Please tell us about yourself and your latest endeavor!

Thank you! I’m a fashion designer and singer/songwriter. I started out with my womenswear brand (Emily Daccarett) and for my debut show in LAFW, I worked with a film composer, S. Peace Nistades, to write original music for my fashion film and runway show. We kept collaborating on every show since then. I fell in love we songwriting and took some time to go to music school to work on my craft and learn how to produce myself. I began working on some new songs, which eventually became my ep, Cannibal that I released last November. Right now, I’m working on my new album and a new collection that’s inspired by the music.

Early riser or 2am just getting to bed?

Definitely an early riser! I love mornings! Even if I am going to bed at 2am, I’ll still wake up by 7am latest.

Everyone loves a winner. What do you think it takes to be one?

Consistency! Your workflow and craft get better over time.

How has ART changed your life?

It brings me excitement and motivation to continue with my work. It’s so moving to see the different forms of art in dance, music, painting, fashion, film, etc….. It inspires me, and all I want to do is create afterwards.
