I don’t care what the judges say, Skai Jackson’s performance on Dancing With the Stars was a 10 in my book. On Tuesday night, the 18-year-old gave an energetic performance of “Miss Independent” by Ne-Yo alongside her partner Alan Bersten. Although the pair had a minor misstep toward the beginning, Jackson recovered like a total pro and gave the performance her all. Seriously, her energy makes me want to get up and dance. Though the judges ultimately gave her fives, her performance during the premiere proves she’s in it to win it. After her number, Jackson responded to the fumble tweeting, “Yes, the floor was slippery and we slipped a little bit.. it happens.” Watch her incredible performance above.
