Kelly Clarkson is kicking off season two of The Kelly Clarkson Show with another great cover. For the latest installment of Kellyoke, the singer performed Lizzo‘s hit “Good as Hell,” and yep, the performance was exactly like the title suggests. Wearing a cute pink long-sleeved dress, Clarkson seemed to get lost in the music as she crooned the lyrics and hit those high notes for the virtual audience.
The Kellyoke cover is especially fitting for Clarkson following her split from husband Brandon Blackstock in June. During her show’s season two premiere, the host opened up about her divorce saying, “2020 has brought a lot of change also to my personal life. Definitely didn’t see anything coming that came.” She added that while “divorce is never easy,” she and Brandon are putting their kids first. She’s even been using music as an outlet lately. “I’ve been listening to a lot of music and I’ve also been writing a lot of music as well.” Maybe we’ll get to hear some Kelly Clarkson originals this season.
