This Guy’s Hauntingly Beautiful Cover of Taylor Swift’s “Exile” Has Me Listening on Repeat

When Links”>Taylor Swift‘s Folklore album dropped, I was just as excited to listen to the entire tracklist as I was to hear all of the inevitably amazing covers inspired by the release, and the Swiftie fandom has not disappointed. In a video shared to his band’s YouTube channel, Luke Gittins from English rock band Burbank performed a hauntingly beautiful piano cover of Swift’s “Exile” featuring Bon Iver. In the same vein as Swift’s entire Folklore album, the magical cover evokes mental images of old home movie reels and sepia fields of flowers, setting the mood for a cozy evening curled up on the couch with a cup of piping hot tea.

If you ask me, this is the kind of cover that deserves to play over the end credits of the most heartbreaking rom-com movie (tissues required, of course). Take a listen for yourself here, and check out this mashup of Swift’s “Betty” and “All Too Well” while you’re at it.
