Lionsgate Hoping to Shoot ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ and ‘Chapter 5’ Back-to-Back Next Year

Not only has Lionsgate confirmed that John Wick: Chapter 5 will be happening in addition to the already announced Chapter 4, but the plan is to shoot them back-to-back in 2021!

Lionsgate’s CEO  John Feltheimer said during an earnings call today, via Deadline: “We’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theatres Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 & back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year.”

The John Wick franchise has been incredibly successful and profitable for Lionsgate, with Chapter 3 pulling in $326 million worldwide last year – to date, a franchise best.

Lionsgate is currently set to release Chapter 4 on May 27, 2022.

Chapter 4 will presumably pick up right after the events of Parabellum, with a bruised, broken (but still alive) John Wick taking the fight to the deadliest organization in the world.
