What Does a Kevin Smith Slasher Look Like? Watch the Trailer for Anthology ‘Killroy Was Here’!

Following in the wake of Red State and Tusk, Kevin Smith returns to horror with Killroy Was Here, which originally began as a Krampus film before being re-written. The horror-comedy creature anthology was inspired by the “KilRoy Was Here” graffiti that was prominent during World War II, and Smith shared the bloody official trailer out of Comic-Con@Home today.

During the SDCC panel today, Smith compared his latest horror movie to Creepshow, while going on to note that it’s also in the same vein as our own anthology film V/H/S.

Smith teased, “It’s got a theme that runs through it, and all these little stories that happen around [Killroy]. He’s kinda like a kid Avenger. If you fuck with kids, Killroy will show up. And he looks wonderfully goofy. Bald head and a nose that hangs over the fence. [Robert Kurtzman] designed something that’s kinda horrifying but it’s also goofy at the same time.”

Killroy Was Here comes courtesy of Smodcast Pictures & Semkor Productions in association with Ringling College of Art & Design. The plan is to release the anthology in early 2021.

The cast includes Jason Mewes and Chris Jericho.

Smith directed and wrote the script with Andy McElfresh.
