Britney Spears’s Mom Wants a Say in Her Daughter’s Finances

Britney Spears’s father, Jamie Spears, was temporarily relieved of his conservator role in 2019, and now her mother, Lynne Spears, has reportedly filed legal documents to secure a role in all decisions made regarding her daughter’s finances.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Lynne has filed a request with the Los Angeles Superior Court to be included in any “special notice” of “all matters” having to do with Britney Spears’s trust.

The trust in question is the SJB Revocable Trust the singer established in 2004 to protect her multimillion dollar assets and for her two children’s use in the future. It’s also meant to “hold and manage her material financial assets during her lifetime, and provide distribution of those assets upon her death,” The Blaze notes.

Spears had been under the conservatorship of her father since 2008. However, Jamie temporarily relieved himself due to health reasons last year, handing over the conservatorship role to the singer’s care manager, Jodi Montgomery.
