John Mulaney Announces Two New Comedy Central Specials

John Mulaney has signed a deal with Comedy Central to produce two new comedy specials. Mulaney will headline and executive produce both specials, which will be continuations of John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch, Mulaney’s children’s musical comedy special released on Netflix last December.

In a statement on the deal, Mulaney wrote, “I was an intern at Comedy Central when I was barely older than the kids in the Sack Lunch Bunch. We are thrilled to bring these specials to Comedy Central: a place where I have had so many good times.” Mulaney last teamed up with Comedy Central for the special New in Town in 2012.

Earlier this year, Mulaney hosted his third episode of Saturday Night Live, this time with musical guest David Byrne. Mulaney’s last comedy album, Kid Gorgeous at Radio City, was released in 2018.
