How do you feel social media helps your business?
When used correctly, social media is a great networking outlet helping you connect to a more significant, untapped segment of your chosen market! Makes relationships more personal with your targeted audience, gives valuable insights about your followers with immediate feedback on your Business, induces brand loyalty, and the most essential increases website traffic.
How does photography help grow your personal brand?
High-quality, authentic photography plays a crucial role in delivering the personality of a brand and an excellent way to take advantage of the visual nature of the human brain. If you’re running an online business or building an online portfolio, your branding is about influencing the way consumers think about you and your company or product and shows your clients what it feels like to work with you. While it’s impossible to control what others say about you, you can still guide it and create your storyline, take full advantage of this opportunity and tie it into the impact you can make with images.
What’s been the main projects you are currently working on?
I’m currently working on a new series of B&W pictures for a new touring exhibit called “Acherontia” that should be launch around Spring 2021 in Italy and few dates Europe. Still, I have to define the details—the exhibition’s based on a series of self-portraits named after the death ‘s-head hawkmoth. Moths symbolize determination, attraction, psychic abilities, and faith. Although moths are nocturnal, they’re driven toward light for some unknown reason. Even when its efforts toward light prove dangerous and futile, the moth continues to push forward, demonstrating its faith and determination. I am trying to apply this specific meaning to my photographs.
What was the first big step for you getting started as an entrepreneur?
The very first step for me was the hardest; I had to get into that mindset, think about all the pros and cons, and commit to it. It took me close to 1 year to research the market, the possibilities, the step by step, and the goals I set for myself to get done before starting, and then I took the chance and went for it. I’ve always had a purpose, to start debt-free and immediately making a profit off of it, and once I decided to go for it, it was effortless to get it going and off the floor.
I structured my business in a way where I could have a steady stream of income monthly, along with the Italian work of “fine art” photography work. This way, I could still express myself without having to do work for third parties, but more for my instant gratification.
What would you say to somebody that wants to build their own brand?
Find your identity and start building your brand from that point on; a recognizable and loved brand is one of the most valuable assets you will own. Across many other things, in today’s market, a successful brand has to be consistent in communication, messaging, marketing, and experience. It’s a process, but in the long run, your effort will result in establishing long-term relationships with your customers, leading to a steady increase in sales, projects, word-of-mouth referrals (which is the best marketing tool out a business owns), and advocacy for your products or services.
