How would you classify your music?
Well, Mr. Hughes I will have to classify my music as Hip-Hop.
Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?
Hmmm…That’s a tough one to answer. I will go with Nas, The Wu, Common, Rakim & Michael Jackson.
What do you want fans to take from your music?
Hopefully, fans can find solace, education and inspiration in the music I create.
How’s the music scene in your locale?
Philly’s music scene is both integrated and segregated. A strange grey lingering in between that allows exposure to all music, at the right venues.
Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?
On My Way is up there. It helps define my path thus far.
How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?
As an artist, as well as a person. Music helps to educate you both intellectually and emotionally. Growth is the result of creating music.
If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?
The Roots. Playing live with the Roots would be live.
What’s next for you?
Only time will tell
