Spotted on the SS20 runways of Erdem and Zimmermann, the broderie anglaise trend is more prolific than it has been in a long time this season. So Lisa Marie Fernandez’ spirit-lifting yellow trousers are sitting pretty at the top of our to-buy list. Luckily, broderie anglaise goes hand-in-hand with our new-found desire to invest in pieces that are both comfy and cool (in both senses of the word).
Alongside light and floaty fabrics, we’re taking comfort in trends which remind us of our childhood. Case in point: tie dye – a kaleidoscopic method of hand-dying which is experiencing something of a renaissance.
