Net-A-Porter has reopened so here are the best things to shop this weekend

From socially-distanced birthdays to Coronavirus-induced anxiety, the current global pandemic has wreaked havoc with the fashion industry and everyone was shocked by the closure of Net-A-Porter’s London warehouse back in March.

To fill the sartorial-shaped hole left in our hearts, we spent every moment they were closed saving the best pieces from our favourite designers – and just as our wishlist started to get out of hand, the luxury e-tailer announced the reopening of their online operations. Yup, Net-A-Porter is back in business.

Stuck in a wardrobe rut after seven-or-so weeks of lockdown? Net-A-Porter is the perfect place to head. Consider ditching your tracksuit in favour of a summer dress or Zoom-worthy top and the way you feel about working from home will be transformed. If we can’t pub crawl this bank hol, we shop.

But the site is so vast, housing designers from The Row to Prada – so it can be difficult to know where to start. With that in mind, we’ve done you a favour and whittled down their latest drops to a curated edit of winning new season staples. From midi dresses for an easy, throw-on WFG (work from garden) get-up to sandals worth trading in your slippers for.

Spotted on the SS20 runways of Erdem and Zimmermann, the broderie anglaise trend is more prolific than it has been in a long time this season. So Lisa Marie Fernandez’ spirit-lifting yellow trousers are sitting pretty at the top of our to-buy list. Luckily, broderie anglaise goes hand-in-hand with our new-found desire to invest in pieces that are both comfy and cool (in both senses of the word).

Alongside light and floaty fabrics, we’re taking comfort in trends which remind us of our childhood. Case in point: tie dye – a kaleidoscopic method of hand-dying which is experiencing something of a renaissance. Dannijo has successful diverted our attention away from tie-dye loungewear and managed to make the trend somewhat grown up. This silk-satin midi dress is already in our basket.

Scroll further and you’ll find that checked Ganni dress you’ve been spotting non-stop on Instagram, puff-sleeved midis aplenty (the puffed-sleeve trend reigns supreme thanks to Richard Quinn and Huishan Zhang), and the dad sandal to beat all dad sandals. Loeffler Randall, we salute you.

Here are the best spring/summer pieces to shop on Net-A-Porter right now.
