Vanessa Hudgens and Max Clayton Sing HSM’s “Breaking Free,” Giving Us Strength to Believe

It’s always a treat when High School Musical stars revisit songs from the Disney classic. Vanessa Hudgens is one of the latest to take a trip down memory lane, as she recently crooned a socially distanced version of “Breaking Free” with Broadway actor Max Clayton. Hudgens, who plays Gabriella Montez in the film series, initially shared a clip of her performing the tune solo. But when her friend wanted in on the fun, she was totally game. “I LOVE @maxmclayton and u probably will too after u watch this lol,” Hudgens captioned an Instagram teaser. “He did a duet and it’s hilarious.” The pair previously teamed up for a performance of High School Musical 2‘s “Gotta Go My Own Way” back in April.

Hudgens recently reconnected with her High School Musical costars for a performance of “We’re All in This Together” during The Disney Family Singalong. Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman, and Lucas Grabeel were among the former Wildcats featured in the special. Now, please excuse us while we go rewatch all three High School Musical movies.
