GLAMOUR is teaming up with The British Beauty Council and your favourite beauty insiders to bring you The Big Beauty Quiz

Congratulations, you’ve made it through six whole weeks of lockdown (hey, who’s counting?) and we totally understand you might be running out of things to do, which is exactly why we’re bringing The Big Beauty Quiz to a laptop/iPhone/tablet near you.

That’s right – beauty lovers are in for a treat, because GLAMOUR is teaming up with The British Beauty Council and some of the biggest names in beauty to host a beauty-themed virtual quiz.

On Thursday 7 May at 7pm, GLAMOUR’s inimitable Entertainment Director Josh Smith will ask some major beauty bosses and influencers to battle it out – and we’re inviting YOU to watch along at home. Think a modern day version of Celebrity Squares – but with more contour and red lipstick.

Beauty gurus including The Plastic Boy, Lisa Potter-Dixon, Josh Wood, Sharmadean Reid MBE and Jules Von Hep will go head-to-head in the 45-minute quiz as Josh asks them a series of beauty-related questions. Our favourite beauty bosses and influencers will have just 10 seconds to answer each question.

There will also be a flash challenge round where talent will be asked to complete a beauty-themed challenge in record time – it’s going to be lipsticks at dawn!

Josh will also be inviting the audience to partake in a competition with some incredible beauty prizes up for grabs, so watch this space.

Discussing the incredible event, Millie Kendall MBE, CEO of The British Beauty Council, said: “The beauty industry in the UK is a major contributor to the British economy. Our tax revenues alone are the equivalent to the salaries of 250,000 nurses. We are committed to supporting the NHS and the work they are doing throughout this unprecedented pandemic.

“I remember as a child the TV show Celebrity Squares and thought how great it would be to have a Big Beauty Quiz with some of our industry’s most influential insiders. The Big Beauty Quiz promises to offer fun, education and a fundraising opportunity in support of our NHS. We chose to partner with GLAMOUR magazine because of their ongoing commitment and passion for the beauty industry.”

GLAMOUR Editor-in-Chief, Deborah Joseph, added: “We’re so excited to be working with the British Beauty Council on this BIg Beauty Quiz. As a beauty-first brand, GLAMOUR supports and celebrates the immense contribution the beauty industry makes to our economy, daily. We thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to have fun with some of the biggest names in the beauty business while raising money for our inimitable NHS.”

Tickets to watch the quiz cost £5 and will be available from Eventbrite, with all money raised going to the NHS’ Covid-19 Urgent Appeal.

Funds generated from this incredible charity (which has already raised £39 million), will be granted to member NHS Charities supporting the health and emotional wellbeing of those at the frontline of the NHS, so they can deliver the best care possible to Coronavirus patients. The grants will cover above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide, such as wellbeing packs (including aftercare when the pandemic is over), accommodation, travel, parking and volunteer expenses.

Want in? Of course you do! Buy a ticket here, apply your favourite red lipstick and we’ll see you (virtually) there.
