Amber from Love Is Blind said Rory brought many of the women to tears during their time in the pods. We didn’t see his love story unfold on screen, but he helped many others find someone.
Matt and Amber were one of two couples to wed at the end of Love Is Blind, along with fan favorites Lauren and Cameron Hamilton. Although the show filmed a year and a half before airing, they remain together to this day. During the show, all of the couples that proposed went on a romantic trip to Mexico, where Amber and Barnett first spent time together outside of the pods. They are now living in an apartment in Atlanta, the city the entire cast was pulled from. During the Love Is Blind reunion, the two talked about having some bumps in the road in their marriage. During a conversation with them, their chemistry was evident over the phone. They are enjoying time with their dog, keeping occupied during self-quarantine by watching plenty of movies. Matt also likes to play Call of Duty while Amber catches up on her romance novels.

During an interview with Screen Rant, Amber spoke of the role that Rory played in helping her realize she was ready to get engaged to Matt. Rory was seen on screen giving the men advice. Little known to fans, Rory was dating someone as well. We never saw him get engaged, since Love Is Blind didn’t plan for seven couples to reach the next phase of the show. It was an experiment that hadn’t been done before, and it was more successful than producers had hoped.
One of the reasons for that success was matchmaker Rory. Amber said his serious conversations with the women in the pods “made all the girls cry.” He had asked Amber who her number one man was. She responded it was Matt. He asked for her number two and she hesitated. That’s when Rory told her she already knew who she wanted to be with.
‘Matt and Amber remain together to this day, more than a year and a half after their television marriage. They are making the most of quarantine, and they have big plans once it’s over. Matt wants to return to school. Amber wants to start a new career. And eventually, about a year down the road, the Love Is Blind couple wants to have a child.
