As we continue to hunker down for a prolonged period of social distancing, the impact of the Coronavirus crisis on the fashion industry is becoming increasingly apparent. You only need to take a look at the temporary halting of luxury e-tailer Net-a-Porter’s online trading to see as much.

But it’s not just large fashion retailers who are suffering, with smaller designers who operate without much financial backing being hit seriously hard. With that in mind, there’s no time like the present to discover and support lesser-known brands. And that, refreshingly, is where Farfetch is putting its focus right now.

The luxury retailer has launched a 25% off sale with the sole purpose of supporting boutique brands. Said brands are offering up to 25% off their marked prices – counterbalanced by Farfetch who is reducing the cost to them for using the e-tailer’s marketplace by 25% – to encourage you to support them. Farfetch is also increasing their visibility on the site *and* helping them with marketing and logistics.

The sale opened on their site this morning and will run until 17th May (you’ve got plenty of time to shop), offering amazing discounts on SS20 pieces from the likes of Osoi, Ganni, Nanushka, Lvir and Marcia.

Pieces from Copenhagen-based brand Ganni, founded by husband and wife duo Ditte Reffstrup (creative director) and Nicolaj Reffstrup (CEO), are up there with the most worthwhile of investments. Particularly this season. Their SS20 collection references a few of the Ganni girl’s longstanding favourites, including the humble floral dress and universally-flattering wrap top. The balloon-sleeved dress is making a reappearance (styled with trainers, of course, in classic Ganni fashion), as is the bib dress styled over a poplin shirt. And as a nod to the brand’s prolonged sustainability efforts, the quality of this collection is better than ever.

Although this sale may come at a time when warehouses should be more cautious than ever (due to the knock-on-effect their trading has on warehouses and workers) – we also need to ensure we support the industry while they find ways to work safely.

We’ve removed the leg work from your shopping experience and created an edit of the most investment-worthy pieces on the site right now. Here are the best things to invest in during the Farfetch #SupportBoutiques 25% off sale. We are all in this together, after all.
