The Oscar Party of the Year: The Sue Wong Academy Gala

The bedazzling event marked Hollywood’s most sparkling night of the year. Oscar night was celebrated at the Sue Wong Academy Gala in Hollywood at the Taglyan Cultural Complex, a stunning venue with fountains and lighted palm trees covering the entrance. Host international fashion mogul and Designer Sue Wong graced the red carpet wearing feathers and alluring accents accompanied by glamorous models and a confident vibe.

Sue Wong was born in China but is based in LA in the famous mansion called The Cedars, a historic musical residence. Her designs are recognized as old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist. Celebrities having worn Wong’s fashions include Taylor Swift, Anne Hathaway, Tyra Banks, Miley Cyrus, and many other notable A-List stars.

The black tie affair began with a sophisticated cocktail party brimming with celebrities and VIPs from all over the world. There was a performance from 13 months from China’s Central Shaolin Temple accompanied by 13 female drummers. The Oscars were viewed on three enormous overhead screens and the fashion show with the century was presented featuring stunning models from all over the globe. The purpose of her party aside from the Oscars was to “bring people together to promote spirituality and peace through the language of beauty and grace that embraces the entire human race.”…..Sue Wong

The evening definitely set a new standard of entertainment and the philanthropic dream launched as a new movement of beauty, magic and transformation. It benefited Project Angel Food, a nonprofit that delivers meals each year to those affected by life-threatening illnesses. Project Angel Food was also on it with the humanitarian of the year award. It was also dinner, dancing, drink, networking, and an evening of fun.
