It’s possible that no musician has had a better 365 days than Billie Eilish, recent Grammy sweeper—the first artist to rack up wins in the Big Four categories since Christopher Cross in 1981—and one of the most interesting voices and lyricists working in the industry today. After the 18-year-old covered The Beatles’ hit “Yesterday” for the Oscars segment last weekend, she’s now back with another crowning achievement: tackling the age-old James Bond theme song for the newest installment, No Time To Die, which hits theaters on April 10 and marks Daniel Craig‘s (reportedly) final appearance as the franchise’s titular super spy.
Billie Eilish’s “No Time To Die,” which she wrote with her regular partner-in-musical-crime Finneas (who’s also her brother). It’s definitely living in both worlds: Billie (and Finneas’) lost-in-space sound is piped through the James Bond torch-song-plus-tragedy lyrical signature.
Listen to “No Time To Die” below—and get ready for Craig’s final Bond run while you’re at it.
