One week after the Golden Globe awards—and after a period in which many of this year’s Oscar hopefuls flew directly to the east coast for the New York Film Critics Circle Awards and the National Board of Review Awards, then right back west again—stars including Cynthia Erivo and Billy Porter attended the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday night. Honoring both television and film, the ceremony was an opportunity to see Little Women’s Florence Pugh walk the same red carpet as Fleabag star Andrew Scott—and, as ever, to see how this year’s awards season fashion is developing in the lead-up to the biggest night of all, the Oscars.
