GLAMOUR columnist Bambi Does Beauty reveals her ultimate glow-getting skincare and makeup products

Whether it be opening the first page of your new diary or spring-cleaning your makeup brushes, it feels good to start fresh. You’re either like me and have spent weeks upon weeks indoors surrounded by a mountain of Kleenex practising your best “I can’t come out… I’m sick” line. Or, like the majority of ‘normal’ folk, you’ve overdone the revelry and underdone the self-care.

Well, in either case – I got you! I’ve compiled a list of my ultimate glow-getting skincare and makeup products to give you the freshest and most radiant complexion, from hard working skincare actives to quick-fix makeup primers.

The ‘Deep Clean’ Clay Mask – Sand and Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Mask

This mask DOES NOT mess around. If you’re suffering a post-party breakout or just fancy starting the year with a deeply purifying, retinol-infused mask to cleanse away all the sins of New Year, this is worth every single penny.

The Peel – Allies of Skin Bright Future Sleeping Facial

This is one of those products I endlessly recommend to my followers, because although it’s on the spendy side, it delivers results. For me, it’s what I go for when I want to look my glowiest the next day – call it a professional peel from the comfort of your own home.

The Sheet Mask – Femmue Dream Glow Revitalise and Radiance Sheet Mask

Once you’ve spent all that time deep cleaning your pores, you’ll want to give your fresh skin cells some glossy goodness to hydrate, plump and glow. The clue is in the name with this one: Dream Mask goes onto the skin an absolute dream. It’s made from bio-cellulose, which is the most effective form of sheet mask (it holds more fluid than fibre masks and adheres to skin better). Your skin will be drenched in a creamy serum that you won’t want to take off, but when you do – say hello to gleamy skin.

The Under-Eye Gels – Patchology Restoring Night Eye Gels

Probably the most Instagrammable beauty trend to hit the beauty industry – eye gels. Patchology reign supreme when it comes to providing under-eye gels that give that hit of cooling hydration, while ridding puffy under-eyes of those tell-tale bags. They’re so comfortable you’re very likely to forget to take them off!

The Comforting Cream – Sisley Velvet Sleeping Mask

The latest launch from Sisley is the ultimate in comfort; it’s honestly like hugging your skin in a velvet cloud of marshmallows. To get more technical, shea butter, honey and cottonseed extract soothe the skin, giving it the kiss of life overnight. Or if you just fancy a quick skin pep up, leave it on for 10 minutes to reveal a soft and bouncy complexion.

The Quick Fix – Glossier Futuredew

Not a 10-step skincare kinda gal? Glossier’s Futuredew gives you an instant dewy gleam that fakes the look of a lot of hard work! I see this as kind of a ‘primer’ step – although it is technically skincare, it’s infused with light reflecting mica mineral powder which gives skin radiance without glitter. At 30ml it’s always in my bag for bathroom break top-ups.

The Illuminator – Becca Cosmetics Liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector

If you follow me on Instagram or are familiar with my column here at GLAMOUR, you may have noticed I have a slight infatuation with this product. It’s been in my makeup bag for years and still hasn’t been knocked off the top spot – the ultimate illuminating liquid highlighter. No glitter, just sheen and light.
