‘The Way Back’ Trailer: Ben Affleck As Basketball Coach Plagued By Addiction

Warner Bros has issued its first trailer for The Way Back. A reteam of The Accountant tandem of director Gavin O’Connor and Ben Affleck, the latter stars as a former HS basketball phenom. Struggling with alcoholism, who is offered a coaching job at his down and out alma mater. As the team rallies, he is forced to confront his own demons as redemption for the man and the school seems possible. The film has a strong performance by Affleck, who has himself struggled with sobriety. Brad Ingelsby wrote the script with O’Connor.
