Take a peek inside the most luxurious hotel suite to ensure you remember your wedding night in years to come….
Getting married in the morning:
If you are getting married in or near London and looking for a hotel for your first night as a married woman, look no further as we have found the most luxurious spot that you will remember forever, for as long as you both shall live.
The Four Seasons Park Lane hotel is only a stone’s throw away from Hyde Park Corner. The minute you walk through the doors you are not only welcomed by warm and friendly staff but an incredibly glossy lobby area. You instantly leave the hustle and bustle of central London behind and enter pure calm – a perfect sanctuary to reduce those pre-wedding nerves.
We were walked to our room down a glamorous corridor covered in beautiful black and white fashion prints of Hollywood stars. As the doors opened, I had to do my very best to keep my cool, the elegant styled suite was a world away from my lower ground floor flat and quite literally double the size.
Everything about the suite is decadent, the generous sized rooms, King size bed (the sheets were so incredibly soft, I knew I was in store for the deepest sleep of my life) marble bathrooms with double sinks and private roof terrace overlooking Hyde Park. One of my personal favourites was the walk in wardrobe, I felt like Carrie from SATC but was missing her vast selection of clothes to fill it – it was a great spot to dress up in though!
You needn’t leave your room as the suite has everything you need so you can soak up every moment of bridal suite bliss!
Wedding Morning Breakfast:
We woke up in total luxury, wrapped in the softest sheets having had the deepest sleep of my life.
We had pre-ordered our breakfast the night before and left our requests hanging on the door, it was delivered on the dot of time with every detail thought of, including the very important question of how long you like your eggs cooked for – perfection. The Four Seasons keep these intricate details on file so that when you next visit, wherever you are in the world, your preferences are saved and personalised. It’s these touches that make your stay so incredibly special.
There is a huge choice of breakfast options to choose from whether you want to go healthy or more of a treat such as fresh pastries or fry up. It’s definitely worth making time for and its a real treat having breakfast served directly to your room, just go over easy on the ordering as the cost does rack up.
The Spa:
On our first day as a married couple, we visited the spa, which is based on the top floor of the hotel. There are nine glass walled treatment rooms but the private ‘Sky Room’ is truly iconic and perfect for newlyweds as there are two treatment beds so you and your partner can have treatments together, side by side.
Elsewhere in the spa there are relaxation pods that are perfect for savouring post treatment experience, a sauna with panoramic views, steam rooms and vitality pools.
I would highly recommend the Linda Meredith Oxygen facial, your skin is deeply cleansed, has micro-peel resurfacing and hydration in order to achieve the best results. The oxygen treatment delivers enhanced efficacy with a unique serum enriched with vitamin A and hyaluronic acid which visibly hydrate and plump your skin through natural and non invasive methods.
It’s a 75 min treatment that will give your skin the best glow of your life. It’s recommended that you have a series of six treatments over two weeks for optimum results.
The views from the Sky Room were incredible, you could see the busy London roads below but with triple glazed windows they don’t allow even a whisper of noise to sneak through so it was an incredibly calm sanctuary.
To summarise, the overall experience was incredible. With no request too large or small and every detail thought of it’s no wonder the Four Seasons hotel group has such a cult following.
Your wedding day will pass by so quickly but if you can splurge on an iconic stay like this it will be sure to make your special day a memorable one in years to come.
