Lori Loughlin: I Will Take the Fall For My Daughters If They Get Charged!

Folks, it’s time to face the facts:

In all likelihood, Lori Loughlin is going to jail.

Not only that, they might lock Aunt Becky up and throw away the key.

As a result of new charges filed last week, Loughlin is facing 50 years in prison.

That news came of the heels of reports that investigators have uncovered new emails in which Loughlin’s husband, Mossimo Giannulli, essentially confessed to the couple’s accountant.

Couple that bad news with the sight of Felicity Huffman in a prison jumpsuit, and we think it’s safe to say these are very tense times in the Loughlin-Giannulli household.

Sure, Huffman got off with a slap on the wrist, but it’s unlikely that Loughlin will be so lucky.

After all, Huffman accepted a plea deal, whereas Loughlin decided to take her chances in court.

Not only that, the charges faced by Loughlin are considerably more serious, as she stands accused of doling out $500,000 to get her daughters into college, compared to Huffman’s relatively measly $15,000.

Yesterday, we reported that sources say Loughlin is suffering a breakdown, as she struggles to come to terms with the possibility of serving time.

And just when it looked like Lori’s situation couldn’t get much more dire, a former federal prosecutor is warning that her daughters might also be in legal danger.

“At a minimum the daughters will be witnesses in a trial against their parents, but they could also be charged as defendants,” attorney Neama Rahmani tells People magazine.

The former prosecutor says Lori and Mossimo could’ve spared their daughters some grief by accepting a plea deal, but now, there’s a possibility — however remote — that the girls could be charged.

“The government has made it clear that they are going to keep increasing pressure on both Lori and Mossimo,” Rahmani adds.

“By not pleading, Lori and Mossimo are exposing their children to being charged.”

Olivia and Bella Giannulli dropped out of USC in response to the scandal, but it seems it won’t easy for them to wash their hands of this situation entirely.

However, a source close to the situation tells People that Lori would happily sacrifice her freedom for her children’s sake if she thought there was any chance they would be charged:

“If Lori had any indication that the girls were at risk, she’d want to plead guilty — even though she believes that she did nothing wrong,” says the insider.

“She is not going to let them spend time in jail for something that they didn’t do. Lori is a fantastic mother who would take the fall for the girls even if it cost her everything.”
