Demi Lovato Outdid Every Celeb (So Far) With Her Marie Antoinette Halloween Costume

The Halloween parties are finally starting this weekend, and Demi Lovato is among the first celebrities to unveil her Halloween costume…well, one of them this year, anyway. The singer dressed as Marie Antoinette, and she went all out with the wig, makeup, mini dress, and shoes.

“Halloween round 1… I told y’all I don’t play on Halloween!! It’s my time to shine,” she captioned two selfies she took of herself in the look. One was a close-up face selfie and the other was a mirror photo showcasing the whole look.

It takes a village to create this though: Lovato gave her makeup artist Etienne Ortega and hairstylist Paul Norton an Instagram shoutout for their work helping her pull this off. “Glam team killed it 🙌🏼👏🏼 @etienneortega & @paulnortonhair 💀🎃👻”

Lovato last made headlines for her romance with The Bachelorette‘s Mike Johnson ending. A source told People last week that the two, who had gone on multiple dates, were “done.” It came after Johnson publicly asked Keke Palmer out on Strahan Sara and Keke when the hosts asked him about Lovato.

“I made a mistake, I don’t like dating in public,” Johnson said before looking at Palmer and adding, “But, if I were to ask you, if we could go on a date…?”

Palmer was flustered and gave no answer then. She later revealed that the answer was no. “First of all, I get real spooked about entertainers or reality [stars]…I don’t know, it really scares me to date people in the industry. That’s number 1,” Palmer said on a later episode of the show. “Number 2: He asked me in front of everybody. I felt totally like, ambushed. I felt ambushed. I felt like it was a big ol’ gag. I’ve been doped.”

Johnson had glowing things to say about Lovato when he was interviewed about her before, at the end of September. “We’ve gone on more than one date,” Johnson said, via People. “I like her tattoos—we both have a lot of tattoos. Demi has more than me. And, uh, she kisses really well.”

He also expressed fear of what would happen if things didn’t work out (and they ultimately didn’t). “What scares me about it is that if Demi and I were not to become boyfriend/girlfriend, how people perceive that, which honestly I shouldn’t give two shits about,” he added in that same interview. “We do like each other, and we are getting to know each other but what if it were not meant to be? Then people are gonna speculate.”
