‘Bloodshot’ Trailer: Vin Diesel Leads Way To Sony’s Valiant New Universe

“Initiate sequence.” And so begins the action of Bloodshot, with Vin Diesel carrying quite a load on those shoulders: Playing the unstoppable machine-man assassin, Diesel launches Sony and Cross Creek’s new superhero universe populated by the characters of Valiant Comics.

Our first look at this universe comes via this new trailer, which effectively lays out this film’s game plan: Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. As Sony describes, “With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force -stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.”

And did we mention it’s all accompanied by a fantastic song by the great Johnny Cash? “Memories Are Made Of This?” indeed.

Directed by David S. F. Wilson and written by Jeff Wadlow and Eric Heisserer (based on the Valiant comic book), Bloodshot also stars Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell and Guy Pearce.

Producers are Neal H. Moritz, Toby Jaffe, Dinesh Shamdasani and Vin Diesel, with exec producers Dan Mintz, Louis G. Friedman, YU Dong, Jeffrey Chan, Rita LeBlanc, Buddy Patrick and Matthew Vaughn.

Sony releases Bloodshot to theaters February 21, 2020. Check out the trailer above, and for more on the Bloodshot franchise, go here.
